“The right time to read this book is right now. Bruce Rainnie is one of Canada’s great broadcasters and storytellers. In my loudest ‘Boomer’ Gallant voice, I encourage everyone to read this collection of stories and get to know the Bruce you don’t see on TV. This is tremendous fun – a great book for a great cause.”
- Rick Mercer, host of “The Rick Mercer Report”
With over 25 years of broadcasting experience, Bruce Rainnie has collected stories from every news, political and sports arena. He has forged a memorable partnership with PEI's legendary weatherman, "Boomer" Gallant, and has worked closely with iconic figures like Ron MacLean, Don Cherry, and Peter Mansbridge. Bruce did the first TV interview with hockey sensation Sidney Crosby back in 1996 and has remained in contact with him ever since. He has also had the fortune of chronicling the remarkable career of Olympic Gold Medalist, Heather Moyse. The book will include entertaining and often hilarious reflections from these encounters, as well as many other anecdotes from his quarter-century as a news and sports anchor.
All author proceeds will go to the P.E.I. Cancer Treatment Centre, in memory of Mae Gallant.
